A properly documented loan application makes your loan process much smoother.
This checklist helps you gather the paperwork:
1. Complete the loan application: your loan officer will be glad to supply this to you.
2. If you are a salaried employee; provide W2's for the previous 2 tax years and provide 1 month of paystubs. If you are self employed, provide tax returns for the previous 2 years, including all schedules and a YTD profit and loss statement. (note: provide copies of these documents, not the originals)
3. If you own rental properties, provide recent rental agreements and tax returns for the previous 2 years, including all schedules.
4. To speed up the approval process, provide bank statements for the most recent 3 months and recent statements for stock, mutual funds and IRA/401K accounts
