Questions & Answers:

Q: Will Debt Settlement really work?
A: Yes; definitely: when you enroll in the program, you will exactly be informed of the outcome as far as when your debt is paid off, what new monthly payment you have and how much savings you have compared to before you enrolled in the program.

Q:  Is your company a Law Firm?
A: Yes we are. Credit Relief Assistance is a Professional Law Corporation; we understand the law and we make sure we utilize it for your benefit in order to get you the results you need.

Q: What will the attorneys do?
A: The entire program is monitored closely by the Law Firm: they are working on your behalf to fight against your creditors to reduce your outstanding collections and will ensure that you will get into the program at a payment you can afford. A trust account will be opened in your name that will withdraw a fixed amount from your account every month which then is applied to your outstanding debt.

Q: Will debt settlement allows me to keep more money in my pocket every month?
A: Absolutely: your new payment is reduced significantly and will give you more cash for necessities in life.

Q: Can I do loan modification and debt settlement at the same time?
A: Yes; actually, many of our clients are doing that already: debt settlement is a positive indicator to your lender that you are taking pro-active steps to get your financial situation back on track, and will increase the outcome of the loan modification significantly.

Q: Can I see examples of clients who have done debt settlement successfully?
A: Yes of course: please consult with your Credit Relief Assistance Case Manager

Q: If I have questions during the course of the debt settlement program, who should I call?
A: Assistance is always available to you during the entire course of the program; you can contact directly the Law Group for any questions you might have. You will also receive monthly updates about your trust account, your payment status and any news related to debt settlement that might interest you.

Q: What will happen at the end of the program?
A: If you complete the debt settlement by staying in the program, you will be successfully graduating the program and your unsecured debt is permanently resolved; no more creditors will harass you, no more high interest payment and no more monthly payments.

Q: How does the 50% guarantee works?

Q: The Law Group has extensive experience about debt settlement cases successfully completed in the past and is completely aware about current legal regulations. Once you are approved for the program, you will get the guarantee that your unsecured debt will be reduced to minimum 50% of the old debt, and if not; the Law Group will match the difference.

Q: What happens to the interest payments I am making now every month?
A: They will disappear: once you are approved and enrolled in the program, your debt is reduced based on the settled amount, and no interest is accumulated anymore.

Q: Will Debt Settlement affect my credit negatively?
A: If creditors are not receiving payments, they might reported that to the credit bureau, which might affect your credit. However, once you enroll in the program, your creditors agree that you are approved for a “settled amount” instead of the original amount + collection fees, and once the debt is paid off, it will show on your credit report as “settled”. If your credit score needs improvement; please consult your Case Manager to obtain information about the Credit Repair Program.

Q: What will the program cost me to get started?
A: There will never be any upfront cost to start the program: the scheduled payments will start when you decide to enroll in the program and there will not be any additional cost or unexpected fees during the program

Q: Will I have to pay taxes on the amounts that is “forgiven” to me?
A: The IRS has a form on their website (982) that should allow you to file with your tax return, which should exempt you to pay taxes on the savings you had during the course of the program, because you are in a financial hardship

Q: What is the difference between Debt Settlement and Debt Management?
A: Debt Management will not reduce the original debt and there are more fees involved (therefore costs for you as the client!) and those programs are not monitored by an attorney and will take about 5 times as long to settle the balance to zero + your monthly payments will not reduce either.
